DJ Desisto usa um arsenal de samplers Casio SK dos anos 80 para roubar e recontextualizar gêneros e gestos 1.2 segundos por vez. Instrumentos altamente representativos do boom dos instrumentos eletrônicos não-profissionais dos anos 80, os Casio SK soam como o fetiche de todo artista lo-fi contemporâneo mas escondem uma enorme capacidade de recontextualizar gestos musicais como expressões atemporais. Eles são co-autores na forja de uma estética que é o futuro de uma década de 80 que nunca existiu no nosso contínuo temporal. Essas faixas existem suspensas no tempo, um vislumbre de memórias premonitórias que nunca aconteceram.

DJ Desisto utilizes an arsenal of Casio SK samplers from the mid-80s to steal and recontextualize genres and musical gestures 1.2 seconds at a time.This is equipment which is highly representative of the boom of electronic instruments as consumer electronics that started in the 80s but they hide latent potential to recombine said gestures into timeless expressions. They are co-authors in the forging of an aesthetic which is the future of a decade which never actually existed in our continuum. They are hanging in space, floating in time as a glimpse of premonitory memories that never came to pass.
